MUN stands for Model United Nations. It is an educational simulation and academic activity that replicates the procedures, structures, and discussions of the United Nations. MUN conferences are typically organized for students, primarily at the high school and university levels, although there are also conferences for middle school students.

During an MUN conference, participants assume the roles of delegates representing different countries or international organizations and engage in debates and negotiations on various global issues. The purpose of MUN is to provide students with an opportunity to enhance their understanding of international relations, diplomacy, and problem-solving. By simulating the United Nations, participants learn about the complexities of international politics, gain insight into different perspectives, improve their public speaking and negotiation skills, and develop a better understanding of the challenges and nuances involved in addressing global problems, backgrounds and cultures, fostering cultural exchange and building lasting friendships.
